Nick Youngquest gets Attitude

Attitude gets sexy this month with our ever-popular Sex Issue. Scorching hot cover star Australian Nick Youngquest gives us the only photo shoot that he has done in the UK for the launch of the Gods of Football DVD and calendar which is set to become the Dieux Du Stade of 2009. Believe us, this is one man you need to know about…

I think we've already discovered the splendid Mr Youngquest... but it'll be intersting to see how 'buck naked' he gets. I noticed the new issue yesterday and it's plastic-bagged. Good sign?

Bryn Williams

I'm not about to pretend that the world of celebrity chefs is an untapped pool of hotness, but it does provide a steady stream of young (or youngish) men on TV that are not sportsmen - Saturday Kitchen, Something For the Weekend, Market Kitchen, Great British Menu - and some of them are pretty fine.

I've already mentioned the adorable Matt Tebbutt more than once, and this weekend I was watching a kind of best-of compendium of Saturday Kitchen (always a Saturday morning treat) and up popped a bearded, rather sexy Bryn Williams, doing something with braised pigs' cheeks...

In his early 30s, Bryn Williams is Wales leading chef (or he's just Welsh and pretty good), and is at the front of the pack of next gen celebrity chefs - with a very successful London restaurant and many TV appearances under his belt.

I worry that his appeal may at least be partly stubble-related but he seems like a fine fellow, makes nice food and I felt inspired enough to write about him...

... tragically, it appears that he is (or was) in a relationship with Sharleen Spiteri. Blimey.

Eva Simons - Silly Boy

Sounds like a number one to me - like Lady Gaga punching Britney repeatedly in the face.

Bear(d)s in pop - The Invisible

Check out Mercury-nominated alternative pop trio The Invisible featuring bearded bass player Tom Herbert of Polar Bear.

Their debut album is very cool - sort of a cross between Hercules and Love Affair and Antony and the Johnsons. Sort of.

Channing Tatum

OK, I went to see G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra - and not just because of the lovely Channing Tatum, although... it's fantastically entertaining rubbish full of rather odd performances - Sienna Miller, an oddly poor Dennis Quaid and a comically dreadful turn from Christopher Eccleston in particular - even some of the CGI is a tad dodgy, but Channing is a peach.

Liam Tancock

Liam Tancock brought Britain's World Championships to a respectable close this weekend after the Exeter 25-year-old won gold in the 50m backstroke. Although it was Britain's only medal on the final night in Rome, it was Team GB's second gold in what is its best-ever showing at an international swimming meet, with seven medals in all.

Tancock powered home in 24.04 seconds, breaking his own world record. He has set the record three times in the past 18 months but it is his first gold at a major meet.

Nice, isn't he.

And, whilst I'm far from being a fan of these controversial new high-tech one-piece swimsuits, oh my...
