The 'proper' debut single from
American Idol winner
David Cook is released in the States at the end of September. Called
Light On, it's co-written with former Soundgarden frontman and last Bond theme singer, Chris Cornell, and some bloke from Puddle of Mudd.
I can't help wondering if David Cook, like Chris Daughtry, will have huge success in the States that will not translate across the Atlantic..
Cook is the seventh American Idol winner, and despite much American success for previous winners and contestants - Daughtry didn't win the contest - only Kelly Clarkson, and to a lesser extent recently, Jordin Sparks, have gone on to have any UK chart success. Is it an ITV2 thing?
