I don't even recognize him all trimmed up. He's a handsome man, but it's almost as if he's actively trying not to be.
Robguy, I think that you are very right. Anyone that sexy, buff and hot, but hiding behind a Wolfen exterior, is actively trying to conceal his appeal.
In his defense, David was probably trying not to get that detracting and distracting "pretty boy" label.
